Brief Description: Mandatory 4-Hour, Defensive Tactics (DT) Training required annually by the NJ Attorney General

Full Description: This particular offering is specifically for the Chiefs of all Monmouth County Agencies, including Officers in their Command Staffs.

This class is designed to meet the criteria for the 4-hour Defensive Tactics training that every Officer must complete annually, as mandated by the NJ Attorney General.

NOTE: This is a physical class, and students are required to participate in live, hands-on, drills with opponent-students.

The training is offered free-of-charge to all Law Enforcement Agencies.

Resources Required: Students must be dressed appropriately for hands-on DT training.  Students must also bring,

- Water,

- Gun belt and "Blue" gun (weapons retention is a part of this certification),

- No shoes on the mats, and no bare feet on the floor, so students are also encouraged to bring slides or wear wrestling shoes.

NOTE:  This class will start at 1230 hours, after the conclusion of the monthly County Chiefs Meeting.

Reporting Instructions: Monmouth County Police Academy at 1230 hours. (After the conclusion of the monthly County Chiefs meeting).
NOTE: For any Chief taking the DT class on this date, President Scott has authorized you to wear your PT gear to the Chiefs meeting to avoid having to get changed in the locker room.
