Full Description: This Handgun Instructor Update course is a 2-day program designed for experienced handgun instructors who are committed to staying current in the ever-evolving world of firearms instruction. This comprehensive program provides a platform for instructors to refine their skills, update their knowledge, and ensure they are delivering the most effective and up-to-date training to their Officers. The course will primarily be conducted in a shooter/coach format to give attending instructors an opportunity to practice and refine their instructional and coaching abilities. Students will rotate between being the shooter and coach throughout the course, as well as design drills to run the rest of the class through on Day 2.

Resources Required: Each student will need a handgun with at least 3 magazines (5 if single stack) and magazine pouch,
• 1000 rounds pistol
• IFAK/TQ on armor/belt is mandatory.
• Cleaning kit and lube
• Eye/ear protection (clear/tinted)
• Range attire/training uniform
• Duty belt setup/tactical loadout
• Body armor
• Extra batteries for lights, lasers, optics
• Notetaking gear
