Full Description: This Rifle Instructor Update course is a 2-day program designed for experienced rifle instructors who are committed to staying current in the ever-evolving world of firearms instruction. This comprehensive program provides a platform for instructors to refine their skills, update their knowledge, and ensure they are delivering the most effective and current training to their Officers. The course will primarily be conducted in a shooter/coach format to give attending instructors an opportunity to practice and refine their instructional and coaching abilities. Students will rotate between being the shooter and coach throughout the course, as well as design drills to administer to the rest of the class on Day 2. The course is similar to the Handgun Instructor Update, but with an emphasis on the rifle.

Resources Required: • Handgun with at least 3 magazines (5 if single stack) and magazine pouch.  Weapon light strongly recommended (if authorized by agency)
• Rifle with sling, minimum of 5 magazines and a method to secure them is required.
The rifle needs to be zeroed prior to class.
• 1000 rounds rifle (NO M855/GREEN TIP) / 250 rounds pistol
• IFAK/TQ on armor/belt is mandatory.
• Cleaning kit (with rods) and lube for both weapons
