Full Description
The Basic Course for Class II Special Law Enforcement Officers course consists of 600 hours of training mandated by the New Jersey Police Training Commission.  
Upon graduation, trainees will be certified as a Class II Special law Enforcement Officer.

Resources Required
Applicants must be appointed as a Class II Special Law Enforcement Officer. A copy of the Resolution must be submitted along with the application.
Reporting Instructions
Recruits will report on January 6, 2025, at 7:00 am in full uniform as described in the Uniform Requirements for orientation. Recruits will return to the Academy on January 7, 2025 @ 6am. Please note as per the PTC Agency Training will take place at the end of the Academy.

Authorized agency personnel may register trainees for basic courses. All documentation must be submitted and approved by academy administrative staff prior to trainee enrollment in the class. A basic course application packet for this class is included in the "Documents" tab. Agencies are required to hand deliver packet, filled out completely. Mark N/A in the space if something doesn't apply (leave no empty spaces).
