Brief Description: Class Time: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Plus one night session

This course will cover the basic requirements for an Officer to be certified as an Instructor of Vehicle Operations as outlined by the New Jersey Police Training Commission.  Additional advanced topics that are utilized in the Monmouth County Police Academy's Police Vehicle Operations Course (PVOC), and the National Police Driver Training Reference Guide will also be covered.  This course involves both classroom and hands-on training and will require the setting up of the practical, coned courses by the Officer.  Officers will be responsible for bringing a fully-equipped Police package patrol car for operation in the course.  Classroom portion will be held at the Monmouth County Police Academy.  The practical instruction will take place at Raceway Park, Englishtown, NJ.

PRE-REQUISITES:
Completion of Methods of Instruction (MOI),
MV Mechanical Certification Form for Vehicle
***Certification Requirement:  Attendees MUST assist and observe Basic Class PVOC***

THIS IS A FIVE-DAY COURSE.  In County Fee: $150, Out-of-County Fee: $300

Prerequisites: As the Training Officer responsible for registering personnel on behalf the employing agency, I affirm all of the following requirements:

1) The registrant is a sworn law enforcement officer (if required for this class).
2) The registrant is authorized to attend this training.
3) The registrant will abide by the academy dress code and/or other requirements set forth in the course description.
