Class Time: 8:30am to 5:00pm
Full Description
Class Time: 8:30am - 5:00pm. This four day course is designed to provide sworn law enforcement trainers with the skills and knowledge to instruct officers on how to respond to and intervene in an active threat situation. Some of the topics to be covered include: Classroom Presentation Skills, Active Threat Tactics, Scenario Design/ Safety, and developing the combat mindset. This course consists of both classroom lectures and hands on training. PREREQUISITE: Trainers must have attended the two day Response to Active Threat Class offered at the academy and must have attended Methods of Instruction. Certificate of completion for these will be collected on the first day of class.

As the Training Officer responsible for registering personnel on behalf the employing agency, I affirm all of the following requirements:

1) The registrant is a sworn law enforcement officer (if required for this class).
2) The registrant is authorized to attend this training.
3) The registrant will abide by the academy dress code and/or other requirements set forth in the course description.

You must have your supervisor's approval prior to registering for any in-service courses. Registration by phone or fax is not accepted.
