This course will cover the basic requirements for the officer to be certified as an Instructor of Vehicle Operations as outlined by the New Jersey Police Training Commission. Additional advanced topics that are utilized in the Monmouth County Police Academys Police Vehicle Operations Course (PVOC) and the National Police Driver Training Reference Guide will also be covered during the instruction. This course involves both classroom and hands-on training and will require the setting up of the practical coned courses by the officer. Officers will be responsible for bringing a fully equipped police package patrol car for operation in the course. Classroom portion will be held at the Monmouth County Police Academy. The practical instruction will take place at Raceway Park, Englishtown, NJ.
