Brief Description: Basic Course for Police Officers

Full Description: The Basic Course for Police Officers training consists of 790 hours of training mandated by the Police Training Commission.

REGISTRATION MUST BE ENTERED IN ACADIS NO LATER THAN MONDAY, JUNE 27, 2022.  THE PORTAL WILL CLOSE ON THIS DATE AT 3:00 PM NO LATE REGISTRATIONS WILL BE EXCEPTED.

Applicants must be appointed as full-time employees of municipal, county or state law enforcement agencies and conform to all the standards prescribed by the New Jersey Police Training Commission.

Refer to the Academy Entrance Requirements for Police Recruits in the General Information section of the In-service Catalog.

Reporting Instructions: Recruits will report to the Academy on July 18, 2022 at 7:00 am in full uniform for orientation and be released to their respective agencies to commence "Agency Training". Recruits will then report on July 21, 2022 at 6:00 am to begin basic training.
