Brief Description: PTC-mandated training for those entering the Basic Course for Police or SLEO-2 Academy Programs

Full Description: NJ PTC mandates that Academies hold 6 physical training sessions prior to the start of the BCPO or SLEO-2 Academy classes.  Training is conducted by certified PT Instructors, and will include physical workouts, as well as discussions of proper nutrition and hydration.

The classes are free-of-charge, and are designed for potential recruits and prospective candidates who may be entered in a future basic recruit class.

Participants MUST attend the first preparation program session (April 2), which includes mandatory orientation and an assessment of the participant's fitness level.  If the participant fails to attend the initial session, they will not be permitted to attend the remaining sessions.

Resources Required: Students will be going through the workouts, so they need to dress in proper work-out attire; sweatpants or shorts, t-shirt or sweatshirt, and good sneakers for running.
They will need a water bottle and towel as well.

Reporting Instructions: Students MUST bring the completed forms on first day; Application, Medical Release, and Hold Harmless (see Documents tab).

* Thursday - March 28, Initial "testing" date
1.  Tuesday - April 2
2.  Thursday - April 4
3.  Tuesday - April 9
4.  Thursday - April 11
5.  Tuesday - April 16, and
6.  Thursday - April 18

Note: The MANDATORY Pre-Academy Physical Test is scheduled for April 22, with a make-up date (for those who fail) of May 20.

Signup Details: You will need a portal account in the MCPA Acadis system in order to register for ANY class at the Police Academy.
