Full Description
This course is designed for those officers who are called upon in their department to perform basic fingerprint processing and those on a training track to become departmental forensic or fingerprint investigators. This basic material will better prepare those who seek to attend the more advanced 240-hour Identification Course offered by the State Police or FBI. Subjects covered will include fingerprint history, friction skin, AFIS, basic powder processing and lifting, comparison of latent and known fingerprints.

Students should wear work clothes on the second day.

As the Training Officer responsible for registering personnel on behalf the employing agency, I affirm all of the following requirements:

1) The registrant is a sworn law enforcement officer (if required for this class).
2) The registrant is authorized to attend this training.
3) The registrant will abide by the academy dress code and/or other requirements set forth in the course description.
